TREAT TOWERS PARKING STRUCTURE, WALNUT CREEK, CA

We significantly reduced the cost of this project by working out a design solution for the owner that eliminated one level of below-grade parking in the adjacent 10-story office towers and added a less expensive freestanding parking structure. It also increased the square footage in the building while increasing the number of stalls available by 475, to a total of 1175.

The foundation was constructed during one of the century’s worst winters. By pouring a mat slab first to seal the sub grade, we enabled the iron workers to place resteel during stormy weather conditions. We were then able to efficiently pour the structure’s decks in only two pours, which meant that the parking structure was ready for occupancy when the office towers were finished.
