THE INFINITY (300 SPEAR STREET), SAN FRANCISCO, CA

The Infinity is a luxury residential complex with four post-tensioned concrete towers ranging in height from 8 to 41-stories. The over 1 million square foot development includes 655 condominium units, a fitness center, swimming pool, courtyard, lounge, retail space and a five-level subterranean parking garage.

During the excavation of 190,000 cubic yards of soil, workers uncovered a 19th century whaling ship. Webcor overcame the delays associated with the ship's removal and an unusually wet winter by achieving a 4-day, floor-to-floor concrete pouring cycle. Using an innovative combination of concrete forming systems, Webcor poured the 36-story tower, five levels of parking and 7,000 cubic yard mat slab in 356 calendar days and within 1 week of the original schedule.
