MOZART CAR MUSEUM, MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA

The Mozart Car Museum is a new 26,000 square foot, steel structure on a concrete mat slab. Situated on a 2 acre site, the single-story building will display a private collection of approximately 60 exotic cars and also serve as a venue for private events. The museum and its facilities include a catering kitchen, private office, restrooms and 2 open-bay display areas–approximately 90’ x 120’ each–clad in custom fabricated and painted metal panels. The project also features black granite floor tile throughout the entire building.

The building’s exterior is comprised of a dry-joint metal panel system, a point loaded curtain wall, a stick built curtain wall, and an interlocking channel glass glazing system fabricated in Germany. Channel glass allows diffuse light to enter the interior while maintaining privacy.

The project’s site work includes 81 parking spaces, associated paving, grading, utilities work, landscaping, and a zero-discharge storm water runoff system using tree well bio-retention basins.
