In 2007, Webcor Builders joined the Obayashi global family of companies based in Tokyo, Japan.

Backed by the $13 billion Obayashi Corporation, the transaction increased Webcor’s bonding capacity and has enabled it to work on larger and more challenging projects while maintaining its reputation for high quality, customer satisfaction and value through innovation.

Consistent with Obayashi’s relationship with its other U.S. subsidiaries, Webcor operates as an autonomous entity, with no change in its management team or business practices.

Obayashi USA, LLC was established in 2002 to act as the holding company for Obayashi Corporation's U.S. subsidiaries.
