The 706 Mission Street project is located at Third and Mission Streets in downtown San Francisco, adjacent to Jessie Square Plaza and Yerba Buena Gardens, and will become the final development piece to complete the Yerba Buena Area Plan and cultural center fronting Jessie Square.
The approximately 700,000 gross square foot development includes:
- the rehabilitation and integration of the approximately 120,000 square foot historic Aronson Building, built in 1903 and notable for having survived the 1906 earthquake;
- an approximately 60,000 square foot core and shell for the new home of The Mexican Museum on the ground through fourth floor levels;
- approximately 4,800 square feet of ground level retail/restaurant shell space;
- and construction of an adjacent new approximately 43-story, 480-foot tall residential tower with approximately 146 condominium units.
A portion of the existing adjacent below grade Jessie Square Garage will be utilized for public and private residential parking.
