InterMune, Inc. is a biotechnology company dedicated to the development and commercialization of products for the treatment of serious pulmonary infectious diseases and cancer. Custom curved partitions, stone flooring, extensive accent carpeting, and custom millwork and cabinetry are feature in their corporate campus. Its interior buildout consisted of administrative offices and technical chemistry and cell culture laboratories.
In order to meet InterMune’s planned occupancy date, Webcor ICG proposed an extremely aggressive schedule. We collaborated with the architect and consultants during the design phase and suggested more efficient building materials that achieved the desired unique finishes while significantly reducing the construction schedule. We also leveraged our subcontractor relationships and sequenced the work to eliminate delays between trades. In total, we condensed the original construction timeline by 50%.
