Havens Elementary School is a new, Mission-style edu­cational facility located in Piedmont California. The campus includes a one-story building for kindergarten and first grade classes, and a two-story building for grades two through six. The school also includes an administration building containing offices, a teachers’ lounge, a library and a multi-purpose room. The project site features architectural concrete, three rubberized playfields and a syn­thetic turf athletic field with an organic infill made of cork and coconut fiber.

This scope of work included the complete demolition of the existing facility and the relocation of portable classrooms to keep a portion of the school campus op­erational during the construction. The project utilized a lease-leaseback contract between the school district and Webcor.
