The Moscone Center Renovation project consists of significant infrastructure upgrades including the replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, conveyance modernization, and fiber optic data and telecommunication upgrades.

Architecturally, the interiors will be renovated to enhance the experience of visitors. The interior renovation scope includes upgraded finishes, improved functionality for all convention types, improved on-site audio/visual capacity, and compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

There are multiple phases of construction which will take place between scheduled conventions starting in August 2010 and completing in May 2012. To provide a comprehensive enhancement of the facility, all major halls, ballrooms, lobbies, restrooms, and concourses will be included in the renovations.
