LEED Silver

The Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life is an 8.5 acre mixed-use cultural and residential campus that includes a multi-faceted community center and 193 senior residential units.

Campus amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a performing arts center, entertainment, play and educational venues, art and music studios, a library, business center, wellness center, beauty salon, fireside lounge and bar, and multiple dining venues. The senior residential component consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom Independent Living units, as well as Assisted Living and Memory Care units.

Webcor worked closely with both ownership groups to guide the extensive 3-year pre-construction process and develop strategies to accommodate their distinct functional requirements within the construction budget. Webcor also successfully negotiated a phased-occupancy plan with the city of Palo Alto which allowed the community center to begin revenue generating operations on the site, two months before the contractual completion date.

Although the decision to obtain LEED certification wasn’t made until after the project was well underway, Webcor’s award-winning expertise in sustainability helped achieve a LEED Silver rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Grand Winner of Builder Magazine’s 2010 Builder’s Choice Awards for the Infill or Mixed-use Community category.
