This project called for a seismic retrofit to Building 10, a 24,470 square-foot single-story structure on the campus of UC-Berkeley. The renewed facilities include the hall-style dining room, two smaller dining rooms, and a large commercial kitchen with storage areas. The scope of work entailed corrective structural work to meet current seismic standards and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Additional upgrades included new MEPS systems, an elevator, restrooms, locker rooms, and below-grade waterproofing. The exterior ramps, courtyard, and landscape also underwent upgrades via removal and replacement.
