Samsung Headquarters, located in San Jose, CA is a ground-up, Type I, steel, commercial project valued at $384 million. The project totals 1,100,000 square feet throughout four structures with 10, 9, 1 and 1 levels above-grade. . It includes a 700,000 square-foot steel frame office tower; a podium building with a clean room and data center; and a stand-alone cafeteria building. The parking structure totals 460,000 square feet and 1,500 stalls. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the 9.8-acre campus also features a gym with personal trainers and dietary experts, a “chill zones” for relaxation, a fitness center in the sky, a putting green, and open work areas to encourage their teams to be innovative and collaborative. The landmark, state-of-the-art project added several green features such as a rooftop solar array on top of the parking structure and clear glass and white metal to reduce solar heat gain.
