Webcor Named a Bay Area Best Place to Work

Webcor has been named one of the Bay Area’s Best Places to Work for 2018. President and CEO Jes Pederson and Mei Lin Wolff, senior vice president of Human Resources, accepted the award at a presentation on May 18 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

Mary Huss, publisher of the San Francisco Business Times, wrote companies earning the recognition have “exceptional workplaces that their employees value.” She adds, “The rankings were determined by surveys that went directly to employees, who answered a series of questions.”

“Employees at every level of the organization responded to the survey,” Mei Lin says. “It was their candid views of our practices, culture, and values that earned us this important recognition. I want to thank everyone who participated!”

In the category of “Largest Employers” (more than 1,000 employees), Webcor ranked #7. Out of a possible score of 100, Bay Area Webcor employees who completed the survey rated Webcor 86.86, higher than the 8th, 9th, and 10th-place companies, SAP, Comcast, and JLL. Workday won top honors in the category, followed by Hyatt Hotels of the Bay Area, Salesforce, Intuit, Splunk, and Rosendin Electric (one of Webcor’s trade partners).

“The survey was actually the main reason we participated,” Jes explains. “It was an opportunity to find out how employees view the company. Being named one of the top 10 best places to work in the Bay Area was icing on the cake.”
