Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory located in Berkeley, CA, is a ground-up, modernization and seismic, Type I concrete laboratory project. This CMAR project totals 88,382 square feet throughout three structures with one through three levels above grade. The project included the new construction of B33, a three-story, 43,000 square foot building, modernization and lab build-out of B74, a 45,000 square foot existing Life Sciences building, seismic slope stabilization for existing structure B85, and the demolition of several other structures deemed seismically unsafe including B25. Building 74’s programmed spaces include wet and dry laboratories, laboratory support, offices, and new building support spaces. Webcor self-performed carpentry.
