Martin Luther King Jr., Junior High School located in Pittsburg, CA is a ground-up, Type II and IV mixed materials k-12 education project. The project is designed by ATI Architects and Engineers. This design-build project totals 81,000 square feet throughout seven structures with one and two levels above grade. The design-build/DSA project includes 35 classrooms, administration spaces, cafeteria, library, tennis court, outdoor basketball courts, fencing, site work and surface parking. Working closely with the DSA, the design partner, key trade partners and community stakeholders resulted in fast tracking the final programming and design to meet these early submittal requirements.
