Letterman Digital Arts Center set in San Francisco’s historic Presidio National Park is a ground-up, Type I concrete corporate campus project. Gensler and HKS Architects designed the project. This CMAR project totals 1,580,000 square feet throughout four low rise structures with a four-levels, 715,000 square feet, and 1,500 stalls of below grade parking.
Filmmaker George Lucas partnered with the Presidio Trust to bring about the 23-acre campus that is the new combined home of Industrial Light & Magic, LucasArts, and Lucasfilm's marketing, online, and licensing units and houses 1,500 employees. Situated on a decommissioned Army hospital - remnants of the hospital's history are embedded in the new facility, as 50 percent of the concrete from the hospital was used to create the new campus.
The campus features a 275-seat screening room, cafeteria, dining area, daycare center, fitness center, small restaurant, coffee bar, 450,000 square feet of owner tenant improvements, and a 17-acre public landscape. Webcor self-performed concrete. This project is LEED Gold®.
Construction is what we do best - it’s no surprise that we live and breathe every aspect of construction.
