Samsung Semiconductor Inc. (SSI) located in San Jose, CA is a ground-up, Type I concrete-steel hybrid commercial campus. The square footage is distributed across three structures and podium in a campus setting. It includes two, 10-level connected office towers comprised of a series of stacked two-story office “buildings”, sandwiching a series of green floors with gardens and a variety of recreational opportunities totaling 636,000 square feet; a podium building with a clean room and data center; a single level stand-alone cafeteria; and a nine-level standalone parking structure totaling 460,000 square feet and 1,500 stalls.
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the 9.8-acre campus, that accommodates 2,000 employees, features a central atrium, raised access floors, labs, connecting stairs, sky pocket parks, garden floors, chill zones, fitness center with personal trainers and dietary experts, putting greens, and recreation courts – all resulting in a flexible, collaborative, and sustainable campus.
Webcor self-performed concrete, framing and drywall, and building specialties on the project.
Construction is what we do best and it’s no surprise that we live and breathe every aspect of California construction.
